Stephen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church doesn't take lightly the overarching fact that despite this nation's extreme history of displacement, enslavement, and its' continued struggles with diversity, equity and inclusion, we are where God wanted us, as His remnant to be, and we are not only grateful for the freedoms we have, but for the liberties to come.
And so, while praying without ceasing for the peace of our earthbound home, we being indigenous and native, will not refuse to celebrate having a perpetual placard of citizenship in this, our land and indeed, GOD's country: the United States of America.
Because of the Divine vision and mission of The Most High, Sovereign God, our forefathers' and foremothers' servile subjugations and sacrifices, along with their intelligence and innovations, we can proudly continue to add exemplary military service; diligent, entrepreneurial spirits; amazing surviving and thriving skillsets; phenomenal sports talents; and enviable entertainment gifts, to the national and international halls of history and legacy. Hallelujah!
Below, are three specific playlists created to honor our country's fallen, to honor our country's emblem and to honor the humanity in each other. If you would like the link to them, simply Contact Us.
In the first chapter of the Book of Genesis, God gave mankind the right to have dominion over His creation, not dominate it. Knowing the difference between having dominion and dominating, is essential to being a reflection of God's love and having God-ordained "rest on every side". The difference? Dominion exercises cooperative contentment with humble gratitude.
Domination, however, yields to greed which creeps in to kill, while impatience joins in by nagging to the point of destruction. So, if we are to reflect God's goodness here on earth, AND be able present ourselves as His mirror when we meet Him face-to-face, let's be careful not to allow the whispers of assumptive pride and power to cost us our bodies, souls and eternal reward simply because we underestimated the thin, yet treacherous line between dominion and domination concerning God's handiwork.
